As per Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the best captain among all the captains under whom he has played till now. Sachin added that till now, he has played in 6 World Cups and has attained the leadership of 6 captains in his 21 years of cricket career but Dhoni is best among all the 6. He has a sharp mind and knows how to handle the situation. He is always open to discussions. He listens and respects everybody’s views, whether he is a batsman, bowler or senior player.
No Indian captain was able to achieve Sachin’s dream of winning World Cup but it was Dhoni who made Sachin’s dream a true. The dream got realistic when India defeated Sri Lanka in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai and won the match by 6 wickets. Tendulkar added that Dhoni is always calm and never shows his anger on any other cricketer.
Tendulkar further admired Indian Cricket coach Gary Kirsten and said that he don’t want him to leave India but he has his commitments that he need to fulfill. He wants to go to South Africa and we should always respect the decision. Kirsten is like a bowling-machine and always ready to bowl, even 200-300 bowls to each batsman. Whole Indian Team will miss him always and that too badly.
God of Cricket said that 2nd April 2011 is the best day in his life in which he fulfilled the biggest dream of his life. He said that it was all by God’s grace and he is very much thankful to him for this. God helped the team a lot in the finals.
He said that in the final match, whole team came under pressure after Sehwag and he himself lost their wickets but every individual player gave his best and thus, the results are in front of all. If one batsman fails, he shouldn’t think that other batsmen are there. Everybody should try his level best and the same holds for bowlers as well. And this was what they all did that day. No one can guarantee the results but yes, the efforts should always be done continuously. Efforts always pay. They don’t go useless. He said that he is very happy on team’s performance and spirit.
