The match played between Bangladesh and Pakistan yesterday here on Dambulla International Stadium, Rangiri, Sri Lanka set a new record for Pakistan cricket team. The score made my Pakistan cricket team of 385 from seven wickets is its highest score till date.
Before that, Pakistan team’s highest score was 371 from 9 wickets and was set against Sri Lanka in 1996.

Earlier Pakistan won the toss and without delay elected to bat first because the pitch was looking as stroke making. Taking the benefit of the pitch, Pakistan’s openers Imran Farhat (66 runs in 77 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes) and Shahzaib Hasan (50 runs in just 38 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes) hit the half century which helped Pakistan team to achieve its highest score till now.
In this cricket match, the first batsman of Pak was Shahid Afridi who started to beat the Bangladesh bowlers like anything. He made 124 runs in just 60 balls with a super strike rate of 206.67, which includes 17 fours and 4 huge sixes. Further it is the 6th number fastest century in ODI international match and fastest Century in Asia Cup Cricket Match.
With his total 4 sixes, Man of Match Shahid Afridi also set a record of highest sixes in his career with a total of 272 sixes till now. Sri Lankan opener Sanath Jayasuriya is following him with 270 sixes and second to hit highest sixes in cricket.
In reply, Bangladesh team managed to score only 246 Runs on 5 wickets from 50 overs. With this, Pak won this match from a huge difference of 139 runs.
