Two Moons In the Sky

What if anyone tells you that there will be two moons at night in the sky? What will be your reaction after knowing that? Naturally an excitement would be there inside your mind and heart. No one would let to leave the chance to see two moons together.

Yes on 27 August 2010, you can see the two moons in the sky. Now the question that will come in your mind is “Where this second moon will come from?”

Now I am coming to the point regarding this happening and letting you know that how this will happen. After reading from here upto end, you will clear your all doubts. Actually that other moon which will appear there in the sky with the original moon would be planet Mars.

The Mars will start to appear in the sky from the starting of August with dim light. But as the days will pass, it will grow brighter and brighter. On August 27, planet Mars will come within 34,649,589 miles distance to earth. It will be the brightest object, after the moon, in the sky at near about 12.30 am. This will be so close that we would be able to see it even with the naked eyes. But yes, we need to point our eyes towards the sky J

This type of moment happens once in every 277 years. It will happen again in the year 2287. Now, everyone is eagerly waiting for this to take place. Even scientists from all over the world are thinking to make a film on it.

So don’t miss the chance. Wait for the day because it would never happen in your life again.

  1. this is not possible for around 50,000 years no you will not see it on 27 aug 2010

Seven years ago, on August 27, 2003, the oscillating orbits of Mars and Earth did, in fact, bring the two planets closer together than at any other time during the past 50,000 years. And though Mars never actually appeared “as large as the full moon to the naked eye” – not even close – it was indeed, for a few special days in 2003, among the brightest objects in the night sky.

October 2005 brought another well-publicized “close encounter,” though in that case Earth and Mars were about 13 million kilometers further apart than during the 2003 event.

Nothing so spectacular is predicted for 2010.
