Billboard Latin Music Awards 2011

Billboard Latin Music Awards began in 1990. And this time, they were held at Miami on Friday, April 29, 2011. These awards are a part of Billboard Magazine and are given considering the success on the Billboard Charts. The awards also include the award of ‘Spirit of Hope’, which is for humanitarian achievements and the award for ‘Lifetime Achievement’.

The event was seen in more than 35 countries and was hosted by popular telenovela stars Aylin Mujica & Rafael Amaya and Venezuelan emcee Daniel Sarcos. This is also the most prestigious and famous event in the history of Latin Music Industry. With continuously going on for three days and four nights, these awards are also most running awards.

Enrique Lglesias, Spanish pop star, bagged the most numbers of awards, nine, at Billboard Latin Music award ceremony 2011 which was held at Miami. His awards list also includes the award for Latin Artist of the year.

Shakira, the runner up in this ceremony from Colombia was on 2nd position and was honored with 6 awards followed by two newcomers – Prince Royce and Aventura, who won four awards each while Camila, Daddy Yankee and Juan Luis Guerra all got three-three awards in the ceremony.
