It is of great honor for any cricketer to be selected as the brand ambassador of World Cup. Now when there are only 100 days left for the WC, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar name has been selected for the official Brand Ambassador of Cricket World Cup 2011. This tournament is going to be held in the coming year.

This will be the sixth world cup for Tendulkar and it will be another great achievement by this batsman. He will be second man to play 6 World Cups after the Pakistani Player Javed Miandad. According to ICC, Master Blaster would have to promote and support the different programs for tournament which would be played in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka from 19 Feb to 2 April 2011.

Till now he has made 14,292 runs in 172 test matches and 17,598 runs in 442 One Day International matches. Also the countdown of World Cup has begun and now there are only 100 days left in the Cricket World Cup and everyone is eagerly waiting for the tournament.

Update: The cricket 2011 WC has been completed and India has won this Cup. Sachin who was brand ambassador for this series was very happy on this victory as this is the first time that he has won the WC Cricket for his country. He always dreamed that one day he would won the biggest honor for his country and team and this time the day arrived finally when India won the cricket’s biggest tournament in 2011.
