Forbes Asia, a US business magazine, released a list “Asia Fab 50″ of Top 50 companies on Thursday, 16 September 2010 in Asia Pacific region. The list contained 50 companies from various countries of the world. Out of all the countries, China and India, powerhouse of Asian economy, dominated and claimed 32 slots. According to the Forbes list, from out of 50 companies, 16 companies are from India and 16 are from china.
The list is ranked according to the movement of share price, recent financial returns and future prospects as on September 1, 2010. When the list was first published in 2005, it contained only 5 Chinese and 3 Indian companies. But now you can see that there are 32 companies from both of the countries.
The list of 50 firms is made by shortlisting from 936 Asian firms and were put together according to their revenues or market capitalization of at least 3 billion US dollars.
India has 16 firms in the Forbes. China also has the same number of firms in the Forbes magazine followed by Hong Kong (4 companies), Taiwan (4), South Korea (3), Australia (2), Japan (2) and Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand with each having 1 firm.
